Alert
I do a radio program on College of DuPage radio station WDCB near Chicago called "Midwest Ballroom."
I wrote a book called 'Valley Voices," which is the history of local radio.
A listener asked me if there was ever an early radio station called WQX that broadcast from Riverview Park in Chicago. Can you direct me to anyone who has this information?
Thank you,
John

Alert
John, there was an early radio station with the call letters WCX that broadcast near the Belle Isle Bridge in Detroit, right near an amusement park called, yeah you guessed it, Riverview, circa 1920s. Could this be a possibility??? Also, I'm sure Riverview in Chicago had radio stations air "live" from the park for special occasions.
